The daisies are drooping bent and tired,
From standing too long in the glass vase.
As are my legs and heart.
One friend of 20 years must move away, no work due to the virus,
Another's cancer revived,
And three years, my dearest, gone today.
My body sags.
Still, I am well enough amidst a virus-torn world.
My heart should feel lighter,
As the shriveled leaves in the vase became lighter.
